Workington, Denton Holme and new V&R classes

29 Sep

It’s been a busy couple of days, with modelling for a new class in Workington and then teaching (well…supervising and doing all the tedious Adult Ed paperwork really) another new class at Vine and Roses in Penrith. The Workington class is another Ad Ed venture and taught by Katy Little, who either secretly screens all the students beforehand or is a brilliant teacher, as the students always seem to end the class with great work. Although as usual they all seem to draw me fatter and balder than I really am. I have the same problems with mirrors and cameras…it’s a mystery, it really is.

That was Tuesday night, 6.30-8.30, at St Joseph’s in Workington, and very well attended. Wednesday at 1-3 in the afternoon in Penrith has room for some more artists, however. I was filling in for the regular tutor, and it was the first time I’ve taught a class, so apologies to all concerned and rest assured the teaching will improve. In spite of my teaching there was some good work produced, and Susie the model was as professional as always.

One more new class staring up is at  Denton Holme Community centre on 20th October, 3rd and 17th November al 7.30-9.00. I will add more details as and when I have them.

Since I haven’t done any new work this week, here’s an old one of Susie;

Edit! Just found the poster for the Denton Holme classes on the Cumbria Network, it has all the details;
