Everything stops for school holidays, although Ivegyll is running still. Next weekend, hopefully, there will be a few workshops running. Carlisle have one at Trinity School from 10-4, details here;http://www.aecarlisle.com/life_drawing_day.html and Wigton have one at the Bowling club. Both the teachers are excellent, so worth popping along for. Wigton prices and details listed here, but bear in mind you don’t have to pay for all four classes http://www.wigtonadulteducation.org.uk/Arts%20&%20Crafts.html
Instead of life drawing, I’ve been experimenting with Fimo, or polymer clay, and papier mache, to make a dragon and a monkey. He’ll probably end up as an ape, more properly, as I don’t think I’ll bother with a tail. The cooking part of the process is the bit I find trickiest and always seem to end up with crumbly Fimo.
