Keswick life drawing.

26 Mar

There’s another course running in Keswick towards the end of April. I’m reliably informed there are a few places left, but they’ll go quickly, so contact Celia at the about number.
There are rumours of other classes starting in other parts of Cumbria, but I’ll wait until they’re finalised.

Not for a bit, I’m afraid. We just couldn’t get the numbers. The closest is Papcastle near Cockermouth, every second Tuesday, 10-1. The West Coast is a bit lacking in classes right now.

Oh dear 😦 I wouldn’t be able to do the Papcastle one due to work, is there a waiting list or anything I would be able to put my name down for hearing about ones in the area when they come up? 🙂

I’m afraid there isn’t. You can subscribe to the blog and then if I hear anything else, you’ll get updates, but it’s not looking good right now. New Adult Ed rules say we need at least 12 students to run a course, which is difficult for life drawing. The best option is probably to get an artists’ group started in Workington and hire models privately. But I’m not sure if there are enough artists interested there.

      Hi Jane,
Hen party life drawing classes haven’t really taken off in Cumbria yet. 😀 RAM (the Registry of Artists Models) do them nationwide, and RAM are highly respected in the life drawing world, but we don’t really have any young, buff, male models on the scene right now! It has been asked about a few times, but the lack of a suitable model is always the problem.

Six months is possibly plenty of time to find one, however. I’d recommend starting by contacting RAM here

Do you still need one? I could do that if you like. I have some experience

I’m not in charge of booking models for this class, and I’ve no idea if it’s running this year, sorry.
